Steve McKay is an an award-winning screenwriter for film, television and the web.   Once described by an ex-girlfriend’s mother as being “very gregarious”, Steve always aims to please. He likes to write words, think up teevee shows, do art, and make with the funny. He is fierce like a mighty river…but he hugs like a gentle goth.

Oh, what a long and storied past. He co-wrote the comedic feature HAYSEED, which which was an Official Selection at the Toronto International Film Festival; The Vancouver International Film Festival; The New Festival NYC and was sold for broadcast. In the publishing world, he co-founded ROSCO – a sardonic arts/culture magazine and CANDY COATED PRESS, an independent comic book company. He also worked as a pop-culture blogger for NERVE.COM.  In television, he worked as a staff writer on the sketch-comedy series THE LOCKER ROOM and the reality series EXCHANGING VOWS.  His feature screenplay THE SCARLET AVENGER, won the WILDsound Screenplay Contest 2008 and is currently being adapted and recorded as THE SCARLET AVENGER RADIO SHOW podcast.  Steve is a performer and contributing writer for the web series MASCULATHON, which finalized in the Los Angeles New Media Film Festival 2011.
